Acceptable Use Policy
Craft & System · Last updated June 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy covers how you may use Craft & System's website, your account, our license-activation and key-recovery systems, and any related services (together, the “Services”). It exists to keep things safe and working for everyone. Using the Services means you agree to these rules. Note that what you write inside The Author's Blueprint is your own offline work — this policy is about our shared systems, not your manuscripts.
What's not allowed
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for anything illegal, or to facilitate unlawful activity.
- Infringe, misappropriate, or violate anyone else's intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems, or breach or attempt to breach any security or authentication measure.
- Overload, flood, disrupt, or otherwise interfere with our website, license server, or other infrastructure (including denial-of-service attempts).
- Share, publish, resell, or transfer license keys, or use a key beyond the device limit set out in our license terms.
- Abuse the key-recovery, activation, or sign-in flows — for example, by submitting false information, brute-forcing keys, or trying to recover keys that aren't yours.
- Reverse engineer, circumvent, or tamper with the licensing system, the signed-token verification, or any technical protection in the Software.
- Use bots, scrapers, or other automation to abuse the Services, or send spam, phishing, or other unsolicited or deceptive messages through them.
- Impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or organization.
- Upload or transmit malware, or anything designed to harm, disable, or gain unauthorized access to systems or data.
Consequences
If we believe you've broken these rules, we may — with or without notice, depending on the severity — suspend or terminate your access, revoke or deactivate license keys, block requests, and take any other steps reasonably needed to protect the Services and other users. Where conduct may be unlawful, we may report it to the appropriate authorities. Acting under this policy doesn't waive any other rights or remedies we have.
Reporting abuse
If you spot abuse, a security issue, or a key being shared or resold, please tell us at melvin@craftandsystem.com. We take reports seriously and appreciate the heads-up.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our Services evolve or as new kinds of abuse appear. We'll post the current version here with an updated date.
