A whole novel,
on your own desk.
The Author's Blueprint is a writing studio for finishing a book — planning, drafting, and revision in one calm window that runs on your Mac or PC.
Plan it, write it, see it whole — without leaving the desk.

Find the shape of it.
Seven outlining frameworks, story beats, a world and a cast that stay attached to the draft.

Stay inside the scene.
A calm editor with your chapters on one side and who's in the room on the other. Goals and sprints when you want them.

See the whole book at once.
Pacing, character presence, and readability — computed on your machine, from your words, with no AI reading them.
Creative software should feel like a good workshop: you walk in, the bench is clear, and nothing interrupts you.
Buy it once.
One payment, and the software is yours. Free updates within the version you bought. No meter running while you think.
Keep your words close.
Your manuscript is a file on your own disk. Writing and analysis happen locally — there is no cloud copy for anyone to read.
Go deep on one craft.
Every app we make does one thing seriously. The first is for novelists; it won't be the last.
Stay calm.
No feed, no badge, no upsell mid-sentence. The app opens to the work and gets out of the way.
Why a studio, and why start with a book.
I started Craft & System out of a small frustration that kept getting bigger: the tools creative people rely on had quietly stopped being on their side. Everything became a monthly bill. Everything wanted an account, a sync, a feed. The thing you were trying to make sat behind three popups asking you to upgrade.
A novel is the clearest case. It takes years, it's the most private thing a writer makes, and it deserves a place that is quiet, fast, and yours. So the first thing we built is a studio for writing one — structure and world beside the draft, honest reports on the manuscript, and a price you pay once.
If that's how you think software should work, you'll feel at home here.
